Good evening CAT students and families. This is Ms. Winn delivering your weekly Principal’s message. This Tuesday, April 9th, all 9th grade students will visit San Francisco’s Museum of Modern Art. Next week, all students will participate in Spirit Week! Next Thursday, April 18th, Leadership students will host our annual CAT Olympics event. Next Friday, April 19th, Leadership students will host our last school dance of the year. Students will receive more information about both events in Advisory this week. Juniors and seniors, don’t forget to mark your calendars for Prom on Saturday, May 25th. Prom will be held at the Merchants Exchange Club in San Francisco this year. Seniors, Disney Grad Night is scheduled for Thursday, June 6th. Seniors interested in raising money to attend Prom and Grad Night can sell chocolate bars leading up to both events. See Vice Principal Chardon for more details.

Students and families, note that CAT’s Quarter 4 attendance policies have officially begun. During Quarter 4, students will be rewarded for reaching attendance goals and will receive consequences for excessive absences. For example, any student who receives 5 full day absences during Quarter 4 will be placed on an Attendance Contract for the following school year. For seniors who are excessively absent, there are additional consequences tied to participation in extracurricular activities and CAT’s Graduation Ceremony. Information regarding CAT’s Quarter 4 attendance policies was mailed home with Quarter 3 Progress Reports over Spring Break. If you did not receive your student’s Quarter 3 Progress Report or CAT’s Quarter 4 attendance policies in the mail, please contact the Main Office.

That’s it for CAT news this week. Have a goodnight.
