Kiere Garrett, a senior at our San Francisco high school City Arts & Tech, recently joined “The Hope Of Our Future” panel at the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco. Kiere was one of four student panelists answering questions from audience members around gun violence, LGBTQ rights, mental health, and a host of other topics around civil rights.

Kiere, who will be a senior at CAT next year, has already solidified himself as one of the world’s future leaders. As a member of a number of youth organizing groups, such as the My Brother & Sister’s youth council, and the community work he does in the Mayor’s Office, Kiere has made it his mission to make this world a better place. Here’s Kiere’s take on finding hope for the future:

We already know how to hate each other. I
wonder what it would look like to love each other?

Thank you, Kiere, for raising your voice so powerfully!
