CAT Conferences
It takes a lot of hard work on the part of students, parents, and teachers to help each of our students develop a strong academic identity. At CAT, providing each student with a personalized high school experience is something we take seriously, and that is why twice each year we invite parents and students to sit down with advisors to discuss each student’s strengths and areas of growth as a learner. These CAT Conferences help us strengthen the relationships between students, parents, and staff. It is an experience you won’t get in most high schools, and it reinforces just how deeply we care about the success of each of our students.
Current CAT students will be working with their advisors to set up a time for parents to come spend 30 minutes to discuss your student’s academic progress. We end school early (Wednesday schedule, 1pm dismissal) on March 20th -22nd, and April 3rd, so advisors have extra time to hold their conferences. Parents of current CAT students should expect a call and/or e-mail over the next two weeks from your student and advisor to set up a time for your conference.
Conferencias de CAT
Para lograr una identidad académica muy fuerte, los estudiantes, padres, y maestros tienen que poner mucho esfuerzo. En CAT, el proveer cada estudiante con una experiencia personalizada es algo que tomamos en serio, y por eso invitamos a padres y estudiantes a reunir con los maestros dos veces al año para hablar sobre las habilidades de los estudiantes. Estas “conferencias de CAT” nos permiten fortalecer las relaciones entre estudiantes, padres, y maestros. Es una experiencia que no tendría en la mayoría de las preparatorias, y demuestra lo importante que es para nosotros el éxito de cada estudiante.
Los estudiantes ya matriculados en CAT trabajarán con sus maestros para fijar una cita de 30 minutos para hablar de su progreso académico con los padres y maestro. Terminamos la escuela temprano (Horario de miércoles, salida a la 1 de la tarde) en el 20, 21, 22 de marzo y el 3 de abril, para que los maestros tengan tiempo extra para las conferencias. Los padres de nuestros estudiantes deben esperar una llamada y/o correo electrónico entre las dos próximas semanas para fijar la cita para la conferencia.
